Since 1991, JMS Electric Inc. has powered Chicago with integrity, professionalism, and excellent customer service. Throughout the years, we have maintained our commitment to perfection and quality, and have grown beyond electrical construction to specialize in green energy, design-build, and much more.

Green Energy & Sustainability

JMS Electric Inc. supports our clients in pursuit of green energy and sustainability. We are certified by the Illinois Commerce Commission for Energy Efficiency Installer, Distributed Generation Installer, and EV Charging Station Installer. JMS Electric is also an installer of energy-efficient light solutions, lighting control systems, and photovoltaic panels.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers

JMS is a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) as a Local Union 134 Contractor. In addition, JMS is in good standing with IBEW Local Unions 117, 150, 176, 364, 461, and 701.

National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA)

JMS is a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and our President Nick Santoro serves on the Executive Board of the Chicago Chapter, Electrical Contractors’ Association of the City of Chicago, Inc. as well as on the board of The LMCC Chicago (Labor Management Cooperation Committee)/Powering Chicago.

Licensing and Permitting

JMS Electric Inc. has been a long-time registered electrical contractor in the City of Chicago, in addition to maintaining licenses in almost all of the suburban municipalities and some surrounding states.

Insurance / Bonding

JMS Electric Inc. is fully insured and bonded. Represented by DSP Insurance Services, JMS is underwritten by an A+ rated company. The company has built an excellent working relationship with the bonding company, North American Specialty Insurance Company (A rating).
